One of the greatest political comedies of all-time is South Park. Set in a small town in Colorado, the show centers around four grade school boys who-wait, why am I telling you this? Anyone worthy of reading this should already know the premise, if not watch the show. With that said, I will leap into my list of the top 5 episodes of all time (from seasons 1-10):
- The Simpsons Already Did It (Season 6). Cartman discovers the secret to creating thriving civilizations out of brine shrimp: SeaMen + SeaPeople = SeaCiety.
- Fat Butt and Pancake Head (Season 7). Cartman's hand has a life of its own as Jennifer Lopez (pronounced "Hennifer HLLLopez"), propelling him to fame and into the arms of the one, the only: Ben Affleck. Who knew he could so easily fall for a fat pubescent boy from Colorado?
- Scott Tenorman Must Die (Season 5). After he gets ripped off buying pubes from a 6th grader, Cartman is out for revenge. And considering he's a sociopath in bloom (they're now diagnosed with conduct disorder below the age of 18), Scott Tenorman should look out... Guest Starring Radiohead.
- Fun With Weapons (Season 8). The boys buy authentic Japanese weapons at the county fair and have a whole lot of "fun" with them. Look for some classic Butter moments in this episode. After all, who doesn't love a little Butters?
- Last, but not least, is Christian Rock Hard (Season 7). Who doesn't want a platinum album one day? In an effort to quickly attain this dream and show-up Stan and Kyle (aka, the band Moop), Cartman, Token, and Butters do what they know best: rock hard as Christian singers. Be warned, the songs in this episode will stick in your head for eternity.
This is just a brief glance into the world of South Park which is sure to please and never disappoint. In my opinion, seasons 5-8 will rock your world, while the others will still amuse and entertain without the piss stains on your pants.
